At High Noon, I landed at a private airfield outside of Berlin, and dashed directly to the epicenter of the Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week opening today in the German capital directly across from the Brandenburg Gate!

My fashion sixth sense was spinning, and luck, as my constant companion, delivered me to one Europes fav Fashion Weeks.

NYC, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks were yours, vis-a-vis my MacBook laptop in Texas.

Berlin, vis-a-vis my Sony camera, the best seat in the fashion house is yours!

Across this very modern, tres trendy metropolis, I saw a myriad of white tented sites and shop windows abuzz with signs that Berlin Fashion Week, the 7th to date, has arrived in style.

Dear Wedding-Planning-Me,

When I embarked on the adventure that is wedding planning I knew right away that I did not want to buy into the idea that weddings should fit a mold. My mother wanted me to do one of those “everything” wedding packages, where I would just tell the venue what my colors are and they would do all the rest. “No!” I protested. I struggled against all the etiquette, and must-dos, and checklists from The Knot.

Three months later, my living room looks like an elementary school art room blew up. DIY

At the last wedding my family went to, my kids thought they had died and gone to heaven when the waiter rolled out with plates piled high with chicken fingers, fries, and individual serving bowls of ketchup, just for them. While I as their parent had been fully prepared to load them up with whatever was on the adult buffet, and had snacks aplenty in my purse, the kid food was an unexpected though much-appreciated special gesture. It let us know that the bride and groom had put some extra thought into making all of their guests happy, even the kids.

Check with your caterer to see what your options are for kid food.
