Pink and Berry Jazz Inspiration Board

Im working at a very exclusive inaugural gala this weekend, with large tents, manicured shrubs and a whos who guest list including Eva Longoriamaybe Ill sneak in some pics.  So todays dream palette is a brain escape from the heavy duty planning currently underway.  Its where my mind wanders when ice sculptures look more like amoebas than elegant swans, and when random streaks seem to appear on our perfect white tents.

Inspiration: Harlem Renaissance

Its not just jazz as a genre that inspired todays dream palette, but an infectious style of syncopation in particular: 1920s Harlem/ Chicago Jazz.  Inspired by the album - Hothouse Stomp from Brian Carpenters Ghost Train Orchestra, Im uncontrollably drawn to one of the songs on the album called Voodoo.  Its colorful rhythms, and seductive sound is exactly what a modern day renaissance jazz woman would be drawn to.

DREAM PALETTE #132: RENAISSANCE WOMAN

Get bring a little more of Hothouse stomp into your life, get the album here.  Have a spicy weekend everyone.
