Just a day after launching, the official royal wedding website has already hit 2 million page views, reports Clarence House via Twitter.
OfficialRoyalWedding2011.org has all of the official information about Kate and William’s upcoming wedding. And it makes sense, in keeping with the modern times of announcing things via Twitter, that the royal couple should have a wedding website. Within the first few hours of launching, they were already at about 800,000 page views, so it’s no surprise that they hit 2 million views on the second day, reports NPR.
And in other royal wedding news, Sir Elton John has confirmed he will be attending along with his partner, David Furnish, reports People.com. The pop star confessed to Canada’s CTV that while they were “trying to be discreet” earlier, he will be going. “We do have an invitation,” says Elton.
The singer also had some kind words for the young couple. “I hope [William] becomes King at an early age,” Elton says, according to People. “I think we need young people like him to lead. I think he will be a tremendous king — not that Charles won’t, but I think William will be… tremendous.”
